Charcoal filter vs spray deodorizer
Short answer: Spray deodorizers add a scent that covers odor for a while. An activated charcoal filter or sachet absorbs odor molecules into porous carbon. Neither replaces emptying and cleaning the can. We do not make medical claims.
Side by side
| Charcoal filter / sachet | Spray deodorizer | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Porous activated charcoal holds odor molecules | Adds fragrance that can mask smell |
| Scent added | None in our fragrance-free pads and unscented sachet packs | Usually scented |
| Where it lives | Lid compartment pad or placed sachet | Sprayed into air or onto surfaces |
| When to refresh | Replace when odor returns; follow pack directions | Re-spray when the scent fades |
